Open the door to a calm, light-filled space. Natural textures, soft linen and warm timber set the tone. Just had a delightful three night stay in Beck. Being so immersed in wood and greenery must be good for the soul. A truly lovely spot, great ‘lodge’, storm Floris meant we got to use the wood burner, which was fab. Lovely walks on the doorstep, Rievaulx an hour’s walk away, Helmsley close at hand….. would loved to have stayed longer, hope to return soon.

Is Brook dog-friendly?

Absolutely. All of our woodland holiday lodges are dog-friendly, and up to two dogs per lodge. We provide dog towels, a hose for muddy paws, and suggestions for walks from the door, including a three-mile loop to a local pub. Please keep dogs under control around wildlife and on leads where signed.

What can we do nearby?

Walk from the door through ancient woodland and moorland. Explore Helmsley (castle, Walled Garden), Rievaulx Abbey and the North York Moors Railway. Head to Sutton Bank for sweeping views or to the coast for Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay. Return to Brook for firelight evenings and a sky full of stars.
